This course will teach you the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift safely. A forklift licence will allow you to operate all types of forklifts. This training will teach you how to conduct hazard identification and risk assessments, pre starts, operate, record keeping, drive powered industrial forklifts, calculate load weights and shutting down/securing the machine.

This training is to assist students to gain the necessary skills and knowledge prior to undertaking the WorkSafe Assessment.

The training will be conducted on site after a site Inspection has been performed by a Mentor HR representative. Information for Employers - This training can only be successfully delivered in a Workplace.
The employer will be made fully aware of their roles and responsibilities, and must provide suitable facilities and equipment. The employer must also facilitate the removal of the student from normal work duties for the training and assessment.

On successful completion of this training the student will obtain a statement of attainment for TLILICC0003 Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck and a WorkSafe notice of assessment. It is up to the student to apply to WorkSafe within the prescribed 60-day application timeframe.
